J.P – a native of New Mexico has been drawing his entire life and is inspired by the old west. His drawing captivates history, places, and people in a timeless manner. Rod Perkins is a self-taught artist, and his works are all one-of-a-kind originals. In 2012 Rod Perkins survived a massive heart attack where he was hospitalized for three months and had to learn to speak and walk again. For a few years after his recovery, he had to learn how to draw and have a steady hand all over again. Finally, he is back to his love of art and expressing his perception of time with his art.
