"I am originally from Pagosa springs, CO and spent my summers there until I was 18. I come from a family of artists and gallery owners, and have grown up in the art world so I always enjoyed creating my own art before I began working in art galleries in 2016 during my time in college at the University of New Mexico, where I graduated with a B.A. in Psychology and Communications, Liberal Arts and Pre-Health Sciences. I was pursuing a career as a Physician Assistant and moved to Denver in 2020 during the pandemic to pursue that along with my volunteer work as a victims advocate and speaker for the state of Colorado. I became the youngest woman on the board for Colorado Organization for Victims Assistance (COVA) to have D.O.C. training and permissions to enter any prison in Colorado to speak one on one with inmates before they were to be released on parole. This type of work has always been something I am very passionate about and I am currently writing a book about my story and how I became so involved in this line of work. While living in Denver, I was also nannying for one of the Denver nuggets coaches all while still selling art remotely which worked out well during COVID regulations. I finally decided to move back to Santa Fe, NM in 2021 when I was offered a position as a gallery director for a gallery across the street from my moms gallery that she has worked in since 1997. I was eventually offered a partnership as an owner by the end of the year and taught myself everything I needed to know about running a gallery on my own. Unfortunately, the gallery closed in April of 2022 unexpectedly as the owner wanted to retire. That left me with about a months notice to handle business and figure out what I was going to do about my career. I decided to take a leap of faith after a lot of prayer and I decided to open Legends of The West Fine Art (a name my mother and I came up with in 2020 when I wanted to start an online secondary art gallery). This is a journey that most gallery owners do not get the opportunity to have at such a young age of just thirty years old. I feel blessed and so grateful to have such wonderful artists, clients and family and friends to support me. Overall I don't consider it my gallery, I call it God's gallery! I never would have thought that I would own a 3,000 square foot art gallery in the heart of downtown Santa Fe, NM at thirty years old - representing over forty well known artists from around the word. My experience here has been very fulfilling and exhilarating. There is never a dull moment. I get to be surrounded by beauty and incredible artistic talent. I have become remarkably close with our Artists and Collectors, they are family to me, and it’s incredibly special to me to connect with the one thing we all have in common…Art! I am always at the gallery along side my dogs!"
